We have already started to organise a new clean lab!!!

Since late autumn 2025, renovation work has been underway in one of the rooms in our laboratories, which will be dedicated to a sample preparation laboratory for ¹⁰Be and ²⁶Al analyses. Below are a few photos from the ongoing renovation. If everything goes according to plan, starting this coming autumn we will be able to carry out the entire process of preparing rock and sediment samples for ¹⁰Be and ²⁶Al nuclide measurements.

In the fall and winter of 2024, and at the beginning of 2025, Sanjaya Gurung worked diligently in the laboratory to clean quartz from the WA samples we collected in the summer of 2024, in preparation for AMS target processing. It was a time-consuming process, but we finally have clean quartz!

A brand new jaw-crusher has just arrived to our laboratory. A must-have equipment for the first step of samples preparation.
